I have been doing Laser Hair Removal for the last year. My friend Lauren Santiago introduced me to Celebrity Looks Laser in Studio City. Their prices are the most reasonable in LA and they do a great job too. It is $100 for 15 minutes and they can cover a large area in that time. They use the Candela Laser which is fairly new and works well.
I still needed some touch up sessions and didn't want to pay several thousand dollars. I know NYC is expensive but the Jew in me needed to find a good deal even if it meant traveling a bit. I have to admit that I did look into Completely-bare spas. If you watch Real Housewives of NYC you will know what I am talking about. If you don't give into this guilty pleasure one of the housewives on the show owns the spa. Though the prices were outrageous I figured I would at least go in for a consult and get a comparison and see what the going rate is in NYC. They never got back to me so I crossed that place off my list. Sean actually sent me an offer on Gilt Group for Bellair Laser for $550 for 3 lower leg treatments. Though this is WAY more then I am used to paying but the most reasonable I have found and much cheaper then Completely-bare.
I went in today for my free consult before my treatment and I have never walked into an office and treated more kindly and felt more at home. They spa is clean and friendly and they will work with your budget. Bellair uses the LightSheer Duet and CoolGlide laser hair-removal systems. I did some research and its one of the newest lasers and should be perfect for my last few touch up treatments. The LightSheer Duet laser is also less painful than the Candela. I have had 4 leg treatments already so hopefully the next 3 sessions kills the last stubborn hairs.
Any NYC beauty tips are welcomed as I try and figure out some new spots.
