LA York Girl Home

Having been born and raised in LA I recently made the move out to NYC and it’s been an adventure. Here I will share my stories as I navigate my way though the city and try to make NYC a place called home.

Fly Wheel Takes NYC

Took my first New York Spin class yesterday at Fly Wheel and it was nothing like what I have ever experienced in LA.   There are no windows, they turn off all the lights, and they pack in about 30 people in a class.  It felt like a club scene.  But it wasn't all bad just very different than I am used to.  I will say I got a good work out.  Just wish the instructor could walk around and make sure your form is correct. In LA they classes are smaller and you have more attention and interaction with the teacher.

I did like how there were TV screens showing you have everyone in the class was doing and creates a competitive vibe.  Also I was impressed with the electronic resistance numbers.  Maybe I just haven't been on the newest bikes but all the spinning in LA the bikes you just feel out the resistance.

For first time clients they offer $10 off so your first ride is $20 instead of $30.

Here is a discount code they gave me which was much appreciated:  flyneighbor10
Love the discount codes especially because this city is so pricy; and I thought LA was expensive.
Gonna try Soul Cycle next week and compare....Keep you posted.
